Follow these instructions to create a print-ready file:
Use Adobe Illustrator if possible.
Create the original on a 1:1 scale. In the example below we are creating an invitation with the dimensions 143 x 93 mm. The final size therefore needs to be at least 145 x 95 mm to leave enough space for bleed. See bleed printing instructions, point 6.
Images can be printed on WoodPrint, but keep in mind that the wood has a slight yellow tone so the face, for example, will become somewhat yellow.
For NCS cutting (shape cutting), use Adobe Illustrator and create a “New colour swatch,” select “Dekor color” and call it “Through Cut”.
Create the shape without borders, select the shade “Through Cut” and place the object at the back of the drawing area.
If you would like to have bleed printing, make sure that the image goes beyond the shape edges by about 1mm all the way round.
Save the file as a PDF including the quotation number (f you have one) within the file name, eg. “53735 invite.pdf”. If you don’t have a quotation number, please include the company name in the file name, eg. “Graphics house invite.pdf”.
